The House’s emblematic sneaker is revisited as part of the Spring Summer 2020 collection where styles work together to create a language of self-expression. When a fashion-savvy millennial or seasoned tastemaker wants to explore the chunky footwear trend, they reach for Gucci’s Rhyton sneakers. The exaggerated style was introduced in the Cruise 2018 collection and has since become an icon, coveted for its high-octane aesthetic and Italian-made construction. This rendition brings colour to the staple via a patchwork of canvas and fabric panels showcasing the GG Supreme pattern alongside reflective touches.

Following the recent announcement that it would go seasonless and only show twice a year, Gucci has released a logo-printed GG Ace “Boutique.” Melding a seasonal motto from the Italian couture house’s SS20 collection with a classic monogram print and a popular lifestyle silhouette, the GG Ace “Boutique” puts forth classic Gucci elegance, spiced up with a dash of Alessandro Michele‘s flair for the dramatic.

The Ace sneakers feature a new iteration of the GG Supreme motif that was first presented back in Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2020 collection. The embossed pair plays with texture, placing the Italian House’s emblem on a black perforated leather base. The authors create images using a selection of word pairings that are both conceptually estranged yet subliminally connected.
